Court is in session once again for the Suits cast. The legal drama, which originally aired on the USA Network from 2011-2019, became the most-watched streaming TV show last year (thanks to its availability on Netflix), and now three of its stars are reuniting on the small screen.
Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman, and Sarah Rafferty appear in the trailer for e.lf. cosmetic‘s new Super Bowl ad which will air on Feb. 11. Directed by Zach Woods, the actor and writer best known for his roles on HBO’s Silicon Valley and NBC’s The Office, the ad will promote the brand’s top-selling product of 2023, Halo Glow Liquid Filter complexion booster.
As for the teaser, which PEOPLE reveals exclusively, it shows the Suits crew, along with comedian Benito Skinner (also known as Benny Drama), Grammy winning singer Meghan Trainor, Jury Duty’s Ronald Gladden, RuPaul’s Drag Race Personality HeidiNCloset, and former NFL football player and current sports analyst Emmanuel Acho receiving summons to appear in court.
Torres, who played Jessica Pearson, says the renewed interest in the show has been, “kind of odd and wonderful. It’s like, ‘Oh, right. They’re still here. They did incredible work.‘” She says there’s a little bit of sweet justice in this second appraisal. “Everybody in the industry that maybe relegated us to, ‘Oh, that’s that cute cable show.'”
Hoffman, who played Louis Litt, was thrilled to work again with Torres and Rafferty. “It was peak happiness.” Adds Raftery, who played Donna Paulsen, “It was like coming home.”
Of course, this reunion comes on the heels of the other reunion, at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, where Torres and Rafferty presented with Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht. Hoffman could not make it.
“He was shooting a film in South Africa,” Rafferty explains.
“He was getting his IMDb score up,” Torres jokes.
“Nah, I just like to hang out in South Africa,” Hoffman says wryly. (He was, in fact, filming.)
“I believe your character had like an epic fake tan,” Rafferty says. “Is accurate? Or is that just the photo you sent me from set? Or were you hitting the tanning bed? Were you sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber? Because you looked amazing.”
“Do you want to know something?” Hoffman asks.
“It was definitely Halo Glow, wasn’t it?” Rafferty quickly replies.
Regardless of the source of Hoffman’s recent, er, glow up, this is is e.l.f. Cosmetics’ second trip to the Super Bowl. Last year, the brand made its debut with White Lotus star Jennifer Coolidge. Who could forget: “I look like a dolphin. Like a baby dolphin!”
